✨ 1. General recommendations
-
Get plenty of rest and avoid strenuous activity for at least 2 weeks.
-
If you feel pain or discomfort, take the medications prescribed by your doctor on time.
-
Keep the surgical incision or suture site clean and dry, and change the dressing as directed by your doctor.
-
If you experience fever, bleeding, severe pain, or abnormal discharge, contact the clinic immediately.
✨ 2. Recommended diet after discharge
-
First days: Consume clear liquids (water, diluted natural fruit juice, thin soup).
-
The following days: Gradually add soft, light foods such as soft rice, mashed potatoes, vegetable soup, and yogurt.
-
Consuming fresh vegetables, fruits, and fiber helps improve bowel function and prevent constipation.
-
Avoid fatty, fried, and gassy foods (heavy grains, carbonated drinks) in the first week.
-
Drinking enough water (at least 8 glasses a day) is very important to prevent dehydration and speed up the healing process.
✨ 3. Daily activities
-
Light walking is recommended after a few days, as it helps with blood circulation and prevents clots.
-
Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous exercise until your doctor approves.
-
Return to daily activities is usually possible between 2 and 4 weeks after surgery (depending on the type of procedure).
✨ 4. Follow-up and referrals
-
The first post-discharge visit is usually 7 to 10 days later.
-
The pathology results (if a biopsy was taken) will be reviewed and explained by the doctor at the next visit.
-
Continuing treatment or dietary changes will be determined by the doctor based on the patient’s condition.
